Shalom Y’all Shuts Down to Reopen as the Takeout-Friendly Lil’ Shalom - Eater Portland
"On May 14, Andina will reopen with a new chef: Alexander Diestra, formerly of Saucebox and Clarklewis, will take over the kitchen at Andina, making a big introduction with a new takeout pop-up. Chicha specializes in Peruvian street foods, as well as Nikkei (Peruvian-Japanese) and Chifa (Peruvian-Chinese) cuisines. The menu will have standards like ceviche, empanadas, and anticuchos, as well as harder-to-find dishes in Portland like min pao. Diestra grew up in El Callao, Peru, where he says he pulled much of the inspiration for the new takeout concept. Andina will also reintroduce indoor dining in the near future, and have constructed a new outdoor dining structure." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden
