The 38 Essential Honolulu Restaurants

"In a former gas station in ‘Aiea, you’ll find the best ceviche- and seafood-laden tostadas on the island. Da OG Tostada layers a blue crab tobiko spread with ceviche and avocado, while the aquachile features raw shrimp bathed in a lime-spiked green sauce. Don’t overlook the cooked dishes such as the whole fried fish, beer-battered fish tacos, and steak tacos. It’s BYOB, and there’s plenty of room for you to roll up with a cooler. Da Seafood Cartel began at the farmers markets and you’ll still find them at the Kaka‘ako and Kailua markets." - Martha Cheng
