A Houston-Born Hot Chicken Truck Will Debut Next Month - Eater Houston
"Clutch City Cluckers, located at 5550 Val Verde Street, is a new Nashville-style hot chicken restaurant offering halal meats, cheesy chicken sandwiches, loaded fries, and more. It will host a grand opening event on the weekend of February 19, featuring half off the entire menu. The restaurant is owned by Ahmad Kilani, a Jordanian immigrant and former worker at Houston’s first halal food truck, Abu Omar Halal. Kilani uses his industry knowledge to serve halal versions of Nashville's cayenne-heavy chicken dishes, including various sandwiches and loaded fries.
