"The last few pieces of the new food hall are falling into place just in time for the market’s opening on Saturday, April 5: one of the final availabilities inside is being filled by a restaurant from chef Marisa Gittens that, according to a press release, “takes inspiration from and shares black-culture parallels with the French-style bistro.” That addition is the concept’s second location—branching off from an original Lower Dimond spot that opened in September 2023—and will serve items like banana bread French toast, grains in purgatory (a play on eggs in purgatory), and andouille shrimp and grits. The brewery Almanac holds down the market as the main anchor tenant, and other businesses joining include Prescott Meats and Delicatessen, Pizzeria Violetta, pop-up Woo Can Cook, Highwire Coffee, and Fast Times Burgers." - Dianne de Guzman
