"Brick and Mortar at Pullman Yards has picked its first chef residency to launch on August 16. Chef Kiyoka Nishikawa of the Cheffrey’s Kitchen Japanese pop-up is expected to serve a traditional Kaiseki (Japanese fine dining) seven-course meal for $80 per person. There will be two seatings of 20 guests each night. Reservations are open and required. Beyond Nishikawa’s menu, Brick and Mortar will have a regular menu starting August 14 led by culinary director Alan Somphonephakdy, founder of Asian street food pop-up Salty Smiles. Expect dishes like corn scallion fritters with hot honey, massaman curry potato egg rolls served with a green chutney sauce, and a smash burger.
