"In Newark’s Ironbound, where churrasquerias abound, McWhorter Barbecue—an easy six-block walk from the PATH at Penn Station—is one of the best and nearest to the terminus. The meat is cooked on a hand-cranked rotisserie right inside the recently renovated dining room, which is quite a sight. A combination platter of chicken and ribs, easily enough for two, is served with pickled vegetables and both rice and french fries for a double-carb wallop; at an astonishing $12 per platter, the meat tastes mega smoky." - Robert Sietsema
