"I found that Stellina Pizzeria, the acclaimed Italian counter from the Union Market district that isn’t yet ready to open an incoming Northern Virginia location, is servicing its new Shirlington neighborhood with a chic refrigerated pasta vending machine at 2800 S. Randolph Street in Arlington. The dispenser offers family-size pasta kits ($30) to make cacio e pepe and lamb ragu at home, along with jars of its sauces, fresh noodles, DIY cannoli, tiramisu, Stellina T-shirts and other swag. Credit cards and mobile payments are accepted Sunday to Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Co-owner Antonio Matarazzo tells Washingtonian that vending machines are already much more popular in Italy and Europe — "you can go buy wine 24/7." - Tierney Plumb
