"A 150-year-old beignet outlet, Morning Call lost its City Park Casino Building location (which it had occupied since 2012) to Cafe du Monde after a 10-month beignet battle; the closure followed the earlier shutdown of its longtime Metairie cafe, but Morning Call is back in Hammond at Streetside Market and plans to revive in New Orleans as part of a proposed Canal Boulevard and City Park Avenue development." - Clair Lorell
