"At the Pittsburg location of Starbread Bakery, staff are known for their wonderful senorita bread that shows up at many Bay Area parties; store manager Jesse Sanchez said an irate customer who had been banned during the holidays for not following COVID-19 social‑distancing rules returned on July 18, was allowed to make a purchase and then was reminded not to return, and thereafter became violent — demanding respect because he was in the military, shoving the register and a doughnut case, throwing a credit‑card machine, briefly leaving and then allegedly punching an employee in the head and eye while the owner suffered a fractured hand and broken finger in the scuffle; no arrests have been made." - Dianne de Guzman
