"Opening next Saturday, January 26, in North Park, this 1,800-square-foot free-standing eatery on El Cajon Boulevard includes its own parking lot and specializes in build-your-own, eat-with-your-hands Cajun seafood boils. Owned by Shirley Ng (who also runs Uncle John's), the spot is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and offers a range of seafood from shrimp and crawfish to lobster tails, clams, and whole Dungeness crab that can be seasoned with garlic butter, lemon pepper, or Cajun spices; boil add-ons include Brussels sprouts, quail eggs, sausages, and potatoes. The menu also features fried catfish, chicken wings, shrimp and grits, fried okra, several Chinese dishes such as salt and pepper shrimp, spicy pork chops, and beef fried rice, plus a vegan version of the boil and plant-based options like fried tofu with salt and pepper and Cajun mock shrimp. Drinks include Micheladas, sake-tinis, and Thai tea with ice cream." - Candice Woo
