"Part of a 60-year-old chain, this Downey shop is being built as a replica of the original Inglewood location and is slated to open in July. Unlike the chain’s recent Century City, El Segundo, and Hollywood outposts, it will include a drive-thru and a slightly smaller 26-foot “giant donut” sign, and it adds indoor seating along with an updated coffee and espresso drink menu. Since fall 2017 the company has expanded with multiple Southern California locations and has recently announced planned 2020 openings in San Francisco, Berkeley, San Jose, and Palo Alto, with additional prospective sites in Southern California, Las Vegas, the Philippines, and South Korea; many of those new shops will not feature the iconic rooftop donut." - Mona Holmes
