"Opening later this month in the former Goodwich space at 7355 S. Buffalo Drive near Fukuburger, the 2,400-square-foot Firefly — owned by John and Tabitha Simmons — will seat about 80 diners beneath a skylight with additional patio seating. The restaurant specializes in tapas and paellas meant to share, with a menu that includes salmon crudo, stuffed dates, patatas bravas, pulpo asado, camarones al ajillo, and albondigas, plus sangrias, mojitos and other cocktails available by the glass or in pitchers. It plans to be open 4–10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 4–11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, eventually adding lunch, brunch and late-night hours. Firefly once had four Las Vegas locations; its original Paradise Road spot was closed by the Southern Nevada Health District after a 2013 salmonella outbreak that sickened 294 people and was traced to chorizo, and its former locations now house Tacos & Beer, The Stove, Nacho Daddy and Oscar’s Steakhouse." - Susan Stapleton
