The Rabbit Hole Sports Bar and Venue Is Now Open in North Loop | Eater Twin Cities

"Opened Friday, February 7 in the former Axebridge Wine Co. space at 411 N. Washington Avenue, this 15,000-square-foot sports bar and live-entertainment venue includes a 3,000-square-foot patio and a planned multi-level patio opening this spring with seating for several hundred. An ever-changing ultra-transparent film LED screen lights the entrance; inside are 42 TVs (65–85 inches), a 200-inch LED board behind the stage, a main bar lined with 12 hanging TVs, three Vestaboards, and a sports score ticker for real-time updates. Capacity is up to 700; design is by EK Interiors with architecture by Little Box Inc.; communal spaces and loungey booths create an over-the-top, high-voltage vibe meant to grab customers’ attention the minute they walk in. Chef Thomas Pivec (Lord Fletcher’s on Lake Minnetonka) designed a menu that ranges from classic bar bites—jumbo salted pretzels, smoked chicken wings, and a smash burger—to novelty items like a 10-inch mozzarella stick that can stretch up to 8 feet, and more extravagant entrees including a 14-ounce grilled ribeye with truffle fries and bearnaise and the venue’s take on tater tot hot dish; brunch service will launch in the coming months. Beverage highlights include a signature Old Fashioned featuring Heigold Bourbon from the on-site distillery and Filthy Cherries, three hidden off-the-menu cocktails that can be discovered and ordered via QR code, a rotating selection of 12 beers on draft (including local brews like Castle Danger Cream Ale), and wine. Programming is community-oriented with trivia night, Bingo, local cover bands, and DJs; Super Bowl Sunday (February 9) launched with happy hour from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and first-come, first-served tables. Owners are Deepak and Sara Nath, Joe Berg, Thomas Pivec, Craig Dauffenbach, and Jay Ettinger, a group with other Twin Cities projects including Bootleggers, The Pourhouse, The Exchange & Alibi Lounge, and the Lumber Exchange Event Center. Hours: 3 p.m.–2 a.m. Monday–Thursday; 11 a.m.–2 a.m. Friday–Sunday." - Serena Maria Daniels
