"Housed in a former pizzeria on a quiet corner that feels many decades old (a sign advertises pizza, hamburgers, empanadas, tamales, and hot dogs, suggesting a long history of mixed Mexican and American fast food), it felt haunted but worthwhile. We had hoped for a Mexican pizza topped with chorizo, jalapeños, and cilantro, but it wasn’t being made, so instead we ordered a wacky but delicious fusion sandwich of pulled pork, black beans, avocado, and onion rings. Mike’s is a haunted place, but well worth visiting before it disappears." - Robert Sietsema
