"A small restaurant in Old Town Spring is accelerating a planned rebrand after being targeted with negative online reviews that arose from confusion with a similarly named Dallas eatery that publicly criticized National Rifle Association members during their annual conference and added a pledge on receipts to donate a portion of earnings to groups that lobby for gun-control measures. Owners Jessica and Matthew Lynn say the hostile reviews had nothing to do with the restaurant’s food or service, that they had already intended to rename the business to Lynn’s Table, and that the controversy has sped up that timeline; they posted a clarification on Facebook and note that both hold concealed-carry permits and are NRA members.
