"Opening June 28, this sleek daytime outpost from the team behind Herbs & Rye shifts into cool tones and bright windows, anchoring a dining room with an open kitchen; white marble tables flank mirrors and pale blue subway tile, and a glass partition creates a private-dining area. Located at 3900 Paradise Road, Suite N just down the road from the Las Vegas Convention Center and directly in front of a soon-to-open 400-unit apartment complex, it serves breakfast from 8 a.m. with elevated staples — Benedicts with lobster tail and shaved truffles, biscuits and gravy boosted by bone marrow, and brioche French toast layered with berry compote, shaved foie gras, and whipped caramel crème fraîche — and moves into lunch with steak and seasoned fries, Chilean mussels in a white wine sauce, and escargot. Owner-bartender Nectaly Mendoza’s inventive cocktail program includes three frozen cocktails poured from slushy machines, a tamarind-and-ginger Pimm’s cup, and the Green Felt Jungle (lime vodka, midori, green tea and sage syrup, pineapple, and yuzu lime soda). Positioned as a higher-end, off-Strip brunch without the genre’s typical thumping music, the concept aims for the bartender-driven neighborhood feel the group has built with its other spots; its opening was shadowed by a trademark dispute with a Philadelphia sandwich restaurant of the same name." - Janna Karel
