"Kamonegi gets all the press because owner Mutsuko Soma makes soba noodles by hand, but the next-door bar Hannyatou is more fun. It’s a cheerfully cramped little space where sake shots are encouraged (if not quite mandatory) and the happy hour food menu is whimsical. You’ve got a Japanese-style snack mix next to escargot next to sake-marinated cheddar cheese. (It’s great if you are marinating in sake yourself.) If you want something substantial, the hot dog with curried cabbage is big and filling." - Harry Cheadle
