"I'm noting that the next Farmer’s Table is headed to 330 F Street in Chula Vista, replacing Marie Callender’s Restaurant & Bakery; at a whopping 10,000 square feet with an outdoor patio it will be the largest location yet. Co-founders Alberto Morreale and Vincenzo Lo Verso — who launched the first Farmer’s Table in La Mesa in 2017 and expanded with a Clairemont/Bay Park branch in 2018 and a 7,000-square-foot Little Italy outpost in early 2019 — have steadily grown the concept while also partnering on other local eateries. Themed with farmhouse decor, the restaurants are known for a wide variety of breakfast and brunch items such as egg Benedicts, frittatas, French toast, pancakes, and waffles; they feature a full cocktail bar with “bonkers” Bloody Marys garnished with sausages and bacon-wrapped hot dogs. The afternoon and evening menu ranges from flatbreads, pizzas, and pasta to larger entrees like braised lamb shanks and wood-fire roasted chicken." - Candice Woo
