"Born in San Diego’s Little Italy in 2009 and later expanded to additional local concepts including Illando Ristorante Italiano and Scuderie Italia, this new Las Vegas outpost occupies a 1,386-square-foot space at Fort Apache and Russell roads with seating for about 47 and is a short drive from The Gramercy. It focuses on New York–style thin-crust slices and whole pies, with diners able to grab a slice or a full pie, and offers a broad menu of pastas (lasagna, primavera, arrabbiata, carbonara), five panini choices, eggplant parmigiana, stromboli, spinach rolls and desserts. Specialty pizzas highlight inventive combinations — La Piccante (ricotta, pepperoni, jalapeños, pineapple), the no-sauce Autumn (butternut squash, red onion, Gorgonzola, fried sage), Ponte Vecchio (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, olives) — plus a vegan pizza option. The restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., accepts online orders, and aims to bring a taste of San Diego to the local retail center." - Susan Stapleton
