"Mercato and Company’s West University gourmet market is expanding with a new restaurant and bar next door, led by founder Arlene Ventura and chef-partner Tatiana Perna (who also runs the kitchen at the historic Tuscan resort Podere 1384 in Italy). The restaurant will leverage the market’s ingredients and gourmet products — olive oil, cured meats, prosciutto, tin fish, olives, and cheese — to craft an Italian-focused menu that pairs with a curated wine selection.
