"After an arduous year of construction delays, permit inspection holdups, and consultations with the Houston Archaeological & Historical Commission, I finally visited the new 2,250-square-foot open-air beer garden on Travis St., an astroturfed spot outfitted with Adirondacks, barstools, picnic tables, flatscreens, an upper-level deck, and a back-bar area where a hollowed-out airstream trailer houses 40 beers on tap plus a huge selection of over 100 bourbons, whiskeys, and ryes; patrons can order pizza from the adjoining operation and have it brought to them, and the space—open daily from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m.—successfully mimics the beers-out-back experience while extending Frank’s legacy of conviviality." - JP Karwacki
