The Ruby Slipper Will Open in the French Quarter | Eater New Orleans

"I report that the New Orleans–based mini-chain Ruby Slipper will open its tenth location on Decatur Street this September, taking over the spot formerly occupied by Olivier’s Creole Restaurant. The Decatur Street outpost will be the sixth Ruby Slipper location in New Orleans for the breakfast-and-brunch cafe; owners Jennifer and Erich Weishaupt opened the first Ruby Slipper in Mid City in 2008. Ruby Slipper also operates four other locations around the Gulf Coast and in Baton Rouge, and has filed a federal lawsuit accusing former employee Christopher Belou of violating trade secrets laws, breach of contract, and fraud." - Stephanie Carter
