"Saltwater is set to open in mid-February on Fifth Avenue in the Gaslamp, San Diego. It is a fine dining, dinner-only restaurant that aims to transport guests to the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy, with its sleek and contemporary nautical design. The restaurant features porthole-dotted mahogany walls, a marble bar displaying Mediterranean seafood on ice, and a glassed-in wine cellar that serves as a private dining area. Chef Christopher Washburn, with experience in Italy and the U.S., will prepare Mediterranean seafood, prime aged steaks, and homemade pasta. The establishment is operated by Vincenzo Lo Verso and Alessandro Minutella of the San Diego Dining Group." - Candice Woo
