"Located on South Coast Highway in Encinitas, I'm looking forward to Punta Mar, a 2,000-square-foot, mostly outdoor North County restaurant from Grupo Gula principal Lalo González opening by the end of the month after a redesign. It will focus mainly on mariscos, with offerings such as tostadas topped with marinated mahi mahi, shrimp aguachile verde, and grilled octopus, while also serving dishes like pizza birria, barbecue short ribs, and a garlic oil–basted ribeye steak.
