"Although Sugarfish may have pioneered the classy takeout sushi model, Hi Dozo has taken it to a whole new level. This delivery-only restaurant comes from chef Daisuke Nakazawa, who is the head chef of Sushi Nakazawa and apprenticed for Jiro Ono, of Jiro Dreams of Sushi fame. While Los Angeles is still waiting for its own outpost of Sushi Nakazawa to open, Hi Dozo is delivering restaurant-quality sushi across Los Angeles as part of box sets or a la carte. The $54 Deep Dive comes with 12 pieces of nigiri, sashimi, futomaki, and edamame, while the $39 Dozo box offers a slimmed-down version with eight pieces of nigiri. Sashimi, cut rolls, and nigiri are also available to order a la carte. In addition to take out, Hi Dozo now offers pick-up as well from its Mid-City location.
