The State Fair of Texas Will Serve Its Beloved Fried Foods Via a Drive-Thru This Fall | Eater Dallas

"A drive-thru adaptation of the annual state fair lets visitors pick up classic fair foods without leaving their cars, starting September 19 and running Friday–Sunday through October 12. Multiple prepackaged options begin at $65 and can include items such as Fletcher’s Corny Dogs, fried Oreos, kettle corn, sodas, cotton candy, a professional photo with the fair’s iconic figure, and even a midway-game prize; additional add-ons include Smokey John’s turkey legs and Sweet Connie’s corn on the cob. Strict COVID-19 safety rules apply: attendees should remain in their vehicles except to use the restroom or to pay for a photo, must maintain six feet of distance between parties when outside, and are required to wear face masks while picking up food (even if seated in their cars).
