"After almost two years of brewing in Georgetown, I learned that Jellyfish Brewing's delayed taproom — originally slated for May 2017 — will finally open Saturday, November 3 at 11:30 a.m. The all-ages space includes a patio where dogs are allowed, and the brewery will celebrate with weekly rare beer releases throughout November, including a barrel-fermented sour red called Party on Garth, a wine barrel-aged porter with chocolate called Date Night, and a barrel-aged red saison named Seattle Sunburn; they also plan to schedule food trucks regularly. Jellyfish has already appeared on a handful of local taps with releases like flagship Planktonic Red, Smack! IPA, and Saison Memoir. Owners Tom Stevens (who spent time at Big Time Brewery and Alehouse) and Mark Burr (whose 25-year career includes helping open Water Street Brewing and Alehouse and co-founding Strange Brew Fest) have brought on Justin Rizza as head brewer, who previously worked at Hale's Ales and Great Divide Brewing Company." - Megan Hill
