"I’m excited that chef Phillip Frankland Lee is returning to Los Angeles for a three-month residency of Sushi by Scratch at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, where his signature LA-inspired omakase—marked by ample butane-flame technique and thoughtfully sourced fish—will be offered for $185 at 5 p.m., 7:15 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. beginning October 2. The concept, which has nearly a dozen locations nationwide and recently made a splash with a New York residency, continues Lee’s trajectory after he and his wife opened the original Scratch Bar (now the space for Kazan Beverly Hills)." - Matthew Kang
