"Hoochie’s offers Cajun and Creole-forward seafood. Looking for a plate of oysters (raw or fried) and a beer to pass the afternoon? Go here. And while one can get almost any kind of fried seafood (catfish, shrimp, oysters, etc) and French fries plate that can be imagined, the shrimp cocktail and ceviche are excellent and worth trying. The red brick exterior with spray-painted signage manages to hit the New Orleans decor tip as well, with mismatched wood board signs, unfinished cement floors, and barstools outside next to overhangs that make haphazard tables.
