"Set in a former Catholic school near downtown Bend, the main building of McMenamin’s Old St. Francis Pub is adorned with aged wood railings, paneled walls, and quirky light fixtures, creating an inviting backdrop for breakfast diners. Like the atmosphere, the food is casual but well-prepared. The Workingman’s corned beef hash stands out with its big chunks of beer-braised corned beef, caramelized onions, potatoes, and bell peppers (which can be omitted if desired). A bite of the simple vanilla French toast showcases attention to detail in its balanced spices and is served with real maple syrup.
