"I was struck by the club’s over-the-top opulence—dripping black-and-gold decor, Cristal and booths that offered some of the best people-watching in the city—which made The Bank Nightclub at the Bellagio feel like a moneyed playground; it closes its doors on June 3 after nearly an 11-year run. Originally opened in December 2007, the 11,170-square-foot, tiered-rectangle space featured an entrance that looked down on a glass-encased dance floor, drink rails on the top level, tiered VIP booths in the center and the dance floor at the bottom. Over the years it hosted a number of celebrity DJs (most recently Brody Jenner) and attracted guests including Jaime Foxx, Bruno Mars, Jason Derulo, Iggy Azalea and Chris Brown. MGM Resorts has not announced a replacement, and Hyde and Lily Lounge remain nightlife options at the resort." - Susan Stapleton
