The chain was founded over 60 years ago in Hong Kong as a Chinese tea shop but transitioned into a dessert cafe in the 90s and now has hundreds of franchises worldwide. Hui Lau Shan is best known for its large selection of refreshing mango-based desserts, ranging from chilled bowls of fresh mango with pomelo and sago pearls or chewy tapioca balls and mango ice cream to mango pudding, mango mochi, and crepes folded around fresh mango and whipped cream.
