"The newest Spread, open as of Monday, October 21 at 925 Lancaster Avenue in Bryn Mawr, is the chain’s first location outside the city and is designed to look like a train station. Known for its Montreal-style wood-fired bagels—hand-rolled, boiled in honey water, and baked in a wood-fired brick oven—the shop pairs chewy bagels with a variety of house-made spreads, breakfast sandwiches, pizza bagels, and sandwiches like a turkey club or chicken BLT (on a bagel). The decor leans into Main Line railroad history with a flip board that evokes the old one at 30th Street Station (now at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg) and wooden panels listing Main Line towns such as Ardmore, Villanova, and Bryn Mawr; while trains aren’t what most people picture when they think “Main Line,” and a train-station bagel isn’t usually considered the best bagel, this location embraces the theme. It’s open daily from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., or until the bagels sell out." - Rachel Vigoda
