Tavern of Tales Board Game Bar to Open in Mission Hill Spring 2019 | Eater Boston

"An immersive board-game bar at 1478 Tremont St., near the Roxbury Crossing T stop, that pairs select tabletop games with custom sound effects, music, and narration developed by the owner, a Boston University–educated sound designer. The concept focuses on enhancing games that lend themselves to expanded storylines (while also offering a selection of traditional, non-sound-enhanced games in the bar area). The team is applying for a beer, wine, and cordials license and plans to highlight small local breweries and feature pastries, sandwiches, and other bites from neighborhood bakeries and eateries alongside some in-house cooking.
