"One of the most anticipated debuts on the horizon has now confirmed it is expanding to the westside, but fans of Dave’s Hot Chicken won’t be able to sample its cult Nashville hot recipe until next year. Taking over a 3,200-square-foot former Carl’s Jr. at the Canyon Lakes Plaza retail center, the rapidly growing brand was created in Los Angeles by former Bouchon chef Dave Kopushyan and is promising it will be a “few more months” before the restaurant and drive-thru land on Sahara Avenue. Once in place, diners can look forward to deep fried, spiced chicken prepared “in a proprietary brine,” served as sliders and tenders, plus sides of mac and cheese, kale slaw, and cheese fries." - Bradley Martin
