"When it opens in the fall, Lymbar will be a neighborhood restaurant and craft cocktail bar from longtime Houston chef David Cordúa that focuses on Latin and Mediterranean flavors. It marks the first project for David and his father, Michael Cordúa, since they left their eponymous company in 2018; Michael previously founded Churrascos in 1988 and later opened Américas, Artista, and Amazón Grill. Located at street level, diners can expect barrel-aged spirits, a menu of small plates, and meals cooked on a vertical spit in an open kitchen. The restaurant is named after Lymbar Drive and will pay homage to that tightknit, ethnically diverse community with influences from Latin, South American, and Mediterranean cuisine. Gin Braverman designed the interior, which will feature roughly 4,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining and floor-to-ceiling bay windows highlighting the corner-suite space. The Cordúas plan to source recipes and ingredients from neighbors like Droubi’s Bakery & Delicatessen and the Garcia-Prats family's Finca Tres Robles urban farm. Lymbar will serve lunch, dinner, and drinks seven days a week, with brunch and happy hour to be added later." - Brittanie Shey
