"I learned that the Denver-based Punch Bowl Social is opening a second North Texas outpost at 1100 Foch Street in the West 7th Corridor later this month — its 18th national location — and that it has downsized its typically massive footprint to about half the size. The space will feature eight mini bowling lanes, three dart boards, a photobooth, classic arcade games, ping-pong, board games, a private karaoke room, multiple private event spaces, and a 900-square-foot outdoor patio. The menu includes globally influenced dishes such as chorizo fries, a crab cheese rangoon dip, barbacoa and carnitas tacos, a superfood grain bowl, salads, chicken sandwiches, and both beefy and vegetarian burger options, while drinks will include punch, cocktails, alcohol-free mocktails, local beer, and wine. Punch Bowl Social will hold its grand opening on July 27, with a grand opening party from 7 to 9 p.m. whose ticket proceeds will benefit PFLAG Fort Worth; this debut follows the brand's first North Texas location in Deep Ellum a month earlier." - Alaena Hostetter
