"River Deli feels like it could have dropped out of an Edward Hopper painting: wide windows, a tree-lined street, exposed brick walls, green-and-white tiled floors, walls hung with burnished mirrors, a gallery of sepia-toned photos, and bistro seating. Look for dishes like bruschetta topped with ricotta and eggplant, wide shallow bowls of lamb ragu scented with cinnamon and topped with pecorino, and glossy tuna steak served with tomatoes and lots of garlic. Brunch is not to be missed, particularly the signature “Uova in Camicia”— poached eggs on toasted Sardinian bread with ham. Cash only." - Eater Staff
