"The old building housing Red Cat Kitchen has been sold, but the restaurant will endure for 'decades to come.' Maintaining it is reportedly a priority for the new landlords. The building dates back to 1858 and used to house a restaurant called Zapotec, followed by Ken N’ Beck. When chef Ben DeForest took over the space in 2012, he renamed the restaurant Red Cat Kitchen after a restaurant he ran in the 1990s in West Tisbury. He and executive chef Max Rodegast serve an ever-changing menu of 'local-whenever-possible' cuisine." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal
