The New Orleans staple is a dessert of deep-fried pastry dough, doused in powdered sugar and served warm, sometimes stuffed with fillings or made with savory ingredients. Popeyes told Foodbeast the addition is a nod to its hometown, saying that 'As a brand from New Orleans we are always looking to bring new dishes' from the city to its menu.
