"The Field is an authentic, turn-of-the-century Irish pub — in 1998, the owners say they shipped it from Ireland piece-by-piece and set up shop in the Gaslamp Quarter. Rustic wood details and a cozy stone fireplace create a relaxing ambiance, while traditional Irish fare warms you from the inside out. Standouts include Whiskey Chicken Boxty, a potato pancake that’s cooked on the griddle, then topped with Irish cheddar, mushrooms, and Jameson cream sauce. The bar also serves up six kinds of Jameson along with The Field’s housemade Jameson peppermint infusion; it’s the perfect place to find a new favorite." - Mary Beth Abate
