"I'm sad to report that Ceviche House has announced it will shutter its Old Town location. Founded by chef Juan Carlos Récamier, it began as a food vendor at local farmers' markets and moved into its first storefront on 30th Street in North Park in 2015. Last fall Récamier made the bold leap to launch a 2,400-square-foot restaurant in the center of tourist-trap–laden Old Town; he is known for his work in sustainability through his support of San Diego area fishermen and wanted to spark a shift in Old Town by focusing on local and seasonal ingredients and highlighting the flavors of modern Mexican cuisine. The restaurant shared a farewell message on Facebook." - Candice Woo
