"A 98-year-old Chicago ice cream shop founded in 1926, Rainbow Cone is best known for its stacked ice cream slices—five flavors perched on a single cone: chocolate, strawberry, Palmer House (vanilla with cherries and walnuts), pistachio, and orange sherbet. The brand is opening three locations in Southern California as part of a recent franchise push after being acquired by The Buona Companies; the first store is slated to debut later this year in Orange County, and two other locations will be announced after leases are signed.
