"He and E‑Fish founder Jeff Tedmori used the Highland Park grocery store owned by Tedmori’s parents on York Boulevard as a staging site to feed people impacted by the fires. As he said, "I like to feed people, especially when they need it." After founder José Andrés gave the green light, he described calling people and putting out a bat signal on Instagram: "Within 45 minutes, we had a ragtag crew of eight people who produced 800 bowls of soup. We called it "Souper A" and used white beans, pasta, and vegetables to make a delicious spin on minestrone. We started prep at 1 p.m. and were plating by 5 p.m. when [the relief organization] came for a soup pick up and left in the night." - Dom Crisp
