"I've learned that Tacovore, a popular Eugene taqueria that has made a splash in that city's Whiteaker neighborhood, is moving to Beaumont-Wilshire and plans to open in the Fire & Stone building later in the year, though there's no clear date yet. At its Eugene spot it's known for several vegan and vegetarian tacos—tempeh chorizo, crispy tofu, mushroom—and for the Americanized “Old E” taco with ground beef and Tillamook cheddar; taco purists may prefer offerings like smoked carnitas with orange and house crema or a mole verde topped with local cotija. The Eugene location also makes a handful of tortas loaded with carne asada or eggplant, as well as ceviche and margaritas. There's no word yet on how much overlap the Portland location will have with its southern sibling, and the ownership team hasn't responded to requests for comment." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden
