"Back in the late ’90s I ate a lot of fast food and became especially smitten with their Flavorbaked Chicken; at our nearby Long John Silver’s I learned nautical terms like “schooner” and “clipper” and collected its heavy nautical glass frosty mugs, six of which lived in our freezer door and would clank every time someone grabbed a pack of Bagel Bites. We used those chilled steins for lemonade and soda and, for extra excitement, milkshakes or ice cream floats—the glass felt heavy and fancy and kept drinks at the ideal temperature while little flotillas of frostiness waited to be slurped." - Stephanie Ganz
