This Long Beach Cidery Opened in a 90-Year-Old DMV - Eater LA
"Ficklewood Ciderworks is one of the few cideries in Southern California. It just opened in a former Long Beach Department of Motor Vehicles building last week. Ficklewood focuses on eight housemade ciders, with a natural brewing process and a dry finish with no residual sugars. Owners/brewers Stefano Enjem and Joe Farrier started working on Ficklewood back in 2018, converting the historic building which dates to the 1930s. Apples are sourced from a family-owned orchard outside of Sacramento, and there's a unique nine-foot high long pour from the ceiling for serving cider." - Mona Holmes
