Mymy Team Opens Mission Brunch Restaurant Plain Jane | Eater SF

"From the team behind Mymy, Sang Hyuk Lee has opened a Mission brunch spot at 1000 Guerrero Street called Plain Jane that’s focused on daytime delights. The menu — not so plain, after all — features sweet breakfasts like red velvet pancakes (white chocolate cream, banana, and chocolate chip maple syrup) and custardy pain de mie French toast; savory dishes include chilaquiles verde, Dungeness crab eggs Benedict, and sausage and shrimp grits, plus full-on lunch items such as a pancetta burger and lobster and Dungeness crab rolls. To drink there are bloody Marys, glasses and carafes of mimosas (orange, grapefruit, or mango), and coffee, espresso, and matcha drinks. Plain Jane opened after a remodel of the former Hoffman’s space, its landlord plans to complete a required seismic retrofit in “30 to 45 days” starting in November, and it’s currently open daily from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m." - Caleb Pershan
