"This Near West Side outpost is one of five locations testing a limited-time breakfast program from a national Chicago-born fast-food chain now owned by Boston-based private equity firm Berkshire Partners. Doors at this location opened at 6:30 a.m. for the trial, with service running until 10:30 a.m., and it hosted a media and influencer preview on April 10. The test menu features a Polish sausage with egg and cheese sandwich served on the same French loaf used for the chain’s Italian beef (with a vegetarian version available), a bacon, egg, and cheese croissantwich, doughnuts supplied by Stan’s Donuts, fruit cups and hash brown bites, plus hot and cold beverages from Metropolis Coffee. The company is leveraging existing supply-chain items (eggs already used in a seasonal egg-and-pepper sandwich) to streamline the rollout." - Serena Maria Daniels
