"Scheduled to open this spring in Cypress, Passerella will occupy a 3,280-square-foot waterfront space at 9945 Barker Cypress Road next door to the Cypress Union Kitchen. The restaurant will incorporate cooking styles from throughout Italy, serving pasta, pizzas, and wines from both Italy and the Napa Valley, and will be big on seafood—a deliberate fit for its Boardwalk Towne Lake waterfront location. Indoor dining will seat about 100 people, with a large patio for roughly 60 diners. The menu is still a work in progress; executive chef Edward Roberts (whose resume includes Saltwater Grill in Galveston, Beaver’s, and the West End) is collaborating with Gr8 Plate Hospitality owner Paul Miller and executive chef James Lundy on opening-day offerings.
